Sense of Summer Series: 3 Beautiful Beaches in the US

Sense of Summer Series, Week 1

As a Modern, American Perfumery, we are excited to kick-off our ‘Sense of Summer’ series, formerly known as Summer Fridays. All season, we’ll be uncovering hidden gems across the US that'll awaken your 5 senses.

Ahead, we’re starting our series with “sound.” As you transport yourself to our favorite sandy destinations tucked away along the US coast, you can almost hear the crashing waves, seagull calls, and flapping umbrellas.

Spring Lake, NJ

This hidden gem, located in our home state of New Jersey, is described as the “Jewel of the Jersey Shore.” Located about 5 miles from Asbury Park, this family-friendly town is bursting with coastal charm, unique boutiques, and casual eateries - a small taste of the locals’ lifestyle.

Sounds of the waves crashing, lifeguard whistles, and seagull calls remind you that summer is here and your memorable holiday has begun.

Hilton Head Island, SC

What makes Hilton Head so special? It’s considered America’s Favorite Island. Nestled along the coast of South Carolina, you’ll find 12 miles of white-sand beaches that have captured the hearts of tourists and locals alike.

Listen to the jet skis and bikes going by, as the light breeze blows through the trees.

Cannon Beach, OR

Less than 2 hours from Portland, you’ll find Cannon Beach. National Geographic listed it as “one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places,” and that’s why it’s made our list of top 3 beaches to visit in the US.

Its must-see attractions include Haystack Rock, one of Oregon's most recognizable landmarks, and Hug Point.

While you take in these iconic views, take a moment to listen to the waves crashing against the rocks.

What to Spray

With notes of Vanilla, Sandalwood and Amber, we recommend Gold- Personal for a soft, barely-there scent that’ll wrap you with the warmth of the summer sun and sand, as if you were on the beach yourself.
